Stefan is 6’8” tall. It’s the first thing anyone who meets him notices so it might as well be the first thing mentioned in his biography. But his gargantuanness isn’t the only thing big about him. He has a big heart, an enormous fascination with creativity and human behavior, and a lifelong love of story. Which makes him ideal for his role as the Director of Narrative Strategy at First Person, a San Francisco story and experience design shop.
Before First Person, Stefan peddled his wares as Creative Director for Hint, Callahan Creek, and Brainyard. He has also authored six books, the most recent being Creative Boot Camp: Generate Ideas in Greater Quantity & Quality In 30 Days. Previously, he authored Chasing the Monster Idea, co-authored Caffeine for the Creative Team and Caffeine for the Creative Mind with Wendy Lee Oldfield, and penned Redesigning Websites and Simple Websites.
Stefan is a regular speaker at creative industry conferences, conducts creativity and story workshops for corporate teams and creative groups, wrote frequently for a variety of creative industry rags like HOW and PRINT Magazine, is a multiple LinkedIn Learning and CreativeLive author, won numerous industry awards, and been known to embarrass himself and those around him if given the opportunity.
